People have really been enjoying the Empower Fitness 10-week Group Programs and getting a lot out of them. Most people love the results they get enough to do subsequent Programs when they finish the first one. Because of the phased nature of the program, they can be repeated indefinitely (on your own with what you learn, or in another program) allowing for continuing/ongoing betterment. They are the ultimate way to avoid plateaus and to keep getting better, stronger, more muscular, leaner, etc. The program works for any body type and takes into account your current fitness level and what your goals are, drawing a 'road-map' for how to get from where you are to where you want to be.
The cost is $65/week. The 10 weeks can be paid for all at once ($650) or we can split the total in half (with $325 payed now and the remaining $325 half-way through the program) - whichever you prefer.
ALSO NOTE: The groups meet once per week at Complete Body and Spa. At least two "homework workouts" are assigned each week to be done between group meetings. Complete is primarily a training gym, but if you don't have a gym membership, they do offer both monthly and yearly memberships at a pretty reasonable cost. You will need a gym in order to do the "homework workouts"

1) Food Journals - 3 consecutive days of everything you eat and drink AND at what time -- ie. 7 AM Oatmeal. Orange. Coffee with half-and-half. Noon Turkey sandwich with lettuce and tomato on white bread. ETC. PLEASE INCLUDE THE ACTUAL TIME OF DAY AS OPPOSED TO JUST "BREAKFAST".
2) Your goals for the next 10 weeks. And also for the next 6 months. Be specific. "I want to gain 5 pounds of muscle". "I want to lose 6-8 pounds". "I want to have more energy".. ETC.
3) Any medical or surgical history that is relevant to a fitness program.
4) Please download and fill out and sign the last download (titled Par-Q) at the bottom of the page and bring it with you to the first day of class. I really ONLY need Page 1 to be filled out AND your signature on Page 2.
Starting in January of 2014, I will be conducting my training programs at Complete Body and Spa, located at 22 West 19th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues.. If you have any trouble finding it, call my cell - 646.338.5884.
You'll want to arrive a little early the first day so that you can fill out and sign the required waiver form.
The gym has lockers (you need to bring a lock), showers, etc. The front desk will give you a towel, so ask when you come in.
I do recommend workout gloves, though by no means are they required (depends if you like calluses on your hands or not).
